A family-based retailer headquartered in London, Hobbs first opened its doors in 1981 and has since become synonymous with contemporary British fashion.
Requiring the right IT systems to support its ambitious growth plans, the retailer appointed Digital Space to address every aspect of its infrastructure, including new hardware, a faster network, more storage capacity and improved business continuity arrangements.
In addition, Hobbs had planned an office move and needed Digital Space to implement new IT systems – quickly – to ensure a smooth transition. Digital Space recommended moving to server virtualisation to provide flexibility and tolerance, plus significant cost and space savings compared to the old setup. By integrating Exchange, VMware, NetApp, Windows clustering, and DFSR Digital Space created a tailored solution to ensure the least amount of downtime and data loss, whilst also improving recovery time and recovery point objectives.
Hobbs now has great confidence in its IT systems and continues to work with the Digital Space team.
